One Monte-Carlo is located in the very heart of Monte Carlo, bounded by the Hôtel de Paris, the Hôtel Hermitage and a neighboring park, on the site previously occupied by the Sporting d’Hiver building. The redevelopment project features a series of mixed-use pavilions that provide residential, office and retail space, together with a 3,000 sqm (32,300 sq ft) conference facility, pedestrianized spaces with restaurants and an art gallery. The organization of the residential blocks is modular, allowing for a wide range of apartment fit-out options. A retractable façade system, specifically developed for this project, is installed on each building and allows the apartments to open up into an external living space, providing extraordinary views of the city. The magnificent Salle des Arts, an art deco major exhibition space that was part of the original Sporting d’Hiver building, has been reinstated as the heart of the development.
13,700 sqm (147,500 sq ft) of glass facade, 2,000 sqm (21,500 sq ft) of sliding doors, 600 sqm (6,400 sq ft) of doors and over 2,800 sqm (30,100 sq ft) of balustrades made with the technique of aluminum die casting for a total of 150,000 kg of metal.
