Melissa Schwartz has been appointed Vice President, Finance, for North America

Melissa Schwartz has been appointed Vice President, Finance, for North America, with effect from 15 July 2024.

 

Melissa is an accomplished finance executive, who started her career as a construction risk analyst before transitioning into finance.
She has a fantastic career history, holds a B.S. in Construction Management and an M.S. Management from the University of Florida. She also has an MBA from NYU's Stern School of Business, which she was awarded in 2018.

Thomas is an accomplished HR executive with over 30 years’ experience in various industries including telecommunications, machinery and manufacturing, utilities and door and window manufacturing.
As an HR leader, he has led the design and delivery of integrated strategies which have driven employee experience improvements, ensuring that organizational transformation needs are aligned to business growth plans.

Kim Palmen-Koop has been named Group Innovation Director at the Permasteelisa Group, effective today (15 April 2024).

 

An innovative leader with extensive cross functional experience in Innovation, Project Management and Operations, Kim joins the business after spending more than 30 years at Rockfon, part of the Rockwool Group. Kim joined Rockfon in 1993, taking on various roles including Product Development Manager, International Project Manager and finally Head of Research & Development – a role she held from 2019 until now.

Permasteelisa Group has been appointed to deliver the glazing and cladding at St. John’s Wood Square in London

Permasteelisa Group, the global leader in the design, construction and installation of technically advanced building envelopes, has been appointed to deliver the glazing and cladding at St. John’s Wood Square, a prestigious new development in the heart of London.

 

The St John’s Wood Square project is the redevelopment of the 5.5-acre former St. John’s Wood Barracks, previously occupied by the King's Troop, Royal Horse Artillery. The residential development will comprise nine buildings, ranging in height from three to six storeys, offering a total of 179 residential units.

 

Permasteelisa will design, engineer, manufacture and install over 15,000 sq m of custom-made architectural cladding across all blocks. For the main elevations, largely made up of precast elements, the company will supply tripled glazed punched windows and sliding doors, balustrades and metal balconies.

James Hickman is the new Director of Group HSE and Wellbeing

James Hickman has been named as Director of Group HSE (Health, Safety, Environment) and Wellbeing of the Permasteelisa Group, effective 19 February 2024.

 

To be based in the UK, James joins from his previous role at Hinkley Point C where he gained significant leadership credentials heading up the £33bn project’s HSE function.

 

James has extensive experience and knowledge of HSE leadership roles, having also worked for the UK regulator (Health and Safety Executive) as a HM Inspector of Health and Safety.
