The headquarters of the United Overseas Bank (UOB), one of the most prestigious financial groups in Southeast Asia, is situated in Singapore’s Central Business District. It is a futuristic project with two office towers - one 66, the other 38 stories high - and a podium with banking hall. The higher of the two stands 280 meters (919 ft) high, one of the tallest buildings in the Asian region, an integral part of the vibrant, diversified Singapore skyline.

Execution of this work employed: 46,000 sqm (495,200 sq ft) of 30 mm (1 3/16”) thick natural granite cladding; 23,000 sqm (247,600 sq ft) of special 26 mm (1 1/32”) thick double glazing; 700 tons of extruded aluminum sections custom designed to create a pressure equalized structural framework. The glazed external canopy covers an area of over 500 sqm (5,400 sq ft) and consists of a space frame truss system suspended from a light strut attached to the main building.
