Located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, at the heart of the famous, historic Diamond District - aka Jeweler’s Row - International Gem Tower (IGT) is a 34-story state-of-the-art high-rise specifically designed for jewelry, gem and diamond dealers. The 152,7 m (501 ft) high, iconic building is a true architectural achievement which provides a secure environment while delivering, at the same time, an abundance of natural light.

34 stories tall
The ultramodern structure hosts a boutique jewelry shopping mall at the base, while the rest of the tower is dedicated to commercial and naturally-lit office space with stunning views of Manhattan. The signature feature of this high-rise is its faceted curtain wall, which creates a dynamic, ever-changing surface condition resembling square cut diamonds. On the one hand the 5-story podium is enveloped in uniform, fritted glass and steel frames, providing a simple and clean volume which stands in relief with the exterior of the rest of the block. On the other hand the sleek tower is covered in a three-dimensional, folded glass façade made up of differently finished spandrel (metal and spandrel glass finish) and infill panels (metal and vision glass finish). Furthermore the faceted façade features hexagonal shaped units of clear glass which guarantee plenty of natural light to the interiors. The International Gem Tower is LEED© Gold.
Design & engineering, manufacture and installation of 21,600 sqm (232,500 sq ft) of curtain wall.
