The building replaces an old Pathmark supermarket with new retail space on ground floor and more than 700 apartments above, split between the larger tower and a shorter 13-story affordable component, on an under-utilized lot and becomes one of the largest residential towers in Lower Manhattan. The base has a lot of amenities, including a basketball court, a theater, a bowling alley, a rock-climbing room, an indoor pool, etc. This 72-story residential tower features double and triple glazing glass and a 'Chevron' patterned façade for an overall area of approx. 48,400 sqm (521,000 sq ft).
